It's just so pretty! And even though I have not mastered the right fruit/veggie mix yet, it has been fun experimenting.
So here are a few things I have learned:
1. A little celery goes a long way
2. Sometimes it will separate, but drink it anyways
3. Add the really pulpy things last (like a grapefruit)
4. Its really fun to throw things into it without having to chop them up
5. 1 lime makes anything taste like an odd margarita
6. Adding a beet will make you feel like you are drinking blood
Here is what I have made so far:
Monday: Apple, celery, lime, lemon, spinach, orange
Tuesday: Apple, spinach, celery, beet, lemon, ginger
Wednesday: Kiwi, celery, kale, apple, grapefruit
Can you tell I have a lot of a lot of celery, spinach and apples?
And here are a few combos yet to be tried: (as found on Facebook and across the web)
- carrot beet lemon ginger cucumber
- spinach kale lemon ginger golden beet cucumber fennel pear
- Spinach cucumber kale apple
- carrot/apple/parsley
- 2 Celery,1/2 cuke, 1 ambrosia apple, sliver of ginger, squeeze of lemon, Hendricks gin and a dash of white pepper
- Apple * Carrot * Kale * Ginger
- carrot, apple, celery, ginger, pineapple, cucumber, cilantro
The cocktail looks fun for sure!
